Feature and Follow Friday (8)

Feature and Follow Friday is hosted over at Parajunkee and Allison Can Read. This week's question:

Q: What would you do over if you were to start your blog again from scratch?

I would definitely experiment with voice a little bit more. How I write posts on my blog now comes off as robotic, I feel, but that's also just how I write. I want to be able to put more emotion into my posts without sounding losing my own personal voice, but I'm finding that it's a lot easier said than done. But I'm trying!

Feel free to leave a comment or follow any way you please! (Twitter - Goodreads - RSS)

  1. I know what you mean, but I think it really does take time to find your voice. Sometimes I reread a post and I think it sounds robotic too so I go back and add stuff in. I'm following you on twitter now =) Here's mine: http://harleybearbookblog.blogspot.com/2012/08/feature-follow-friday-10.html

  2. I think I'm still trying to find my voice and opinions. It is definitely easier said than done! I constantly worry I'm going to sound unprofessional in my reviews or will offend someone :/

    1. It means a lot to me that you like my blog design, I've been feeling kind of fickle about it recently. You've reassured me! And thanks for the follow!

  4. Yeah, I had the same problems earlier on. It takes time to really feel comfortable writing book reviews and find a certain voice. I'm still having trouble probably. :)

  5. That's a really good answer, and now that you've said it I'm wondering why I didn't think of that!

I agree with Grace, your design is lovely. Especially since I think us book bloggers can get tempted to cover everything with books, making everyone's blogs look similar! Your colours and design are really fresh though, I like it!

  8. Good answer! I think my posts don't sound as great and professional as other bloggers, but they are "my" way of reviewing, and so think that is okay. I'm a new follower. If you have time, make sure to stop back by blog as I have some giveaways going on right now!

  10. I know exactly what you mean! Someday I want to read a post of ine and be like "Yup. That's SO me!" I'm far from that right now, but I think I'll grow into it and develop my own voice with time and I'm sure so will you ;)
